Traveling to the jail to visit an incarcerated loved one can be difficult. From the money spent on gas or public transportation, to the time spent driving and waiting, the process can be costly and burdensome. To provide an easier way to visit an inmate, the Madison County Detention Center offers remote video visitation. This allows you to visit from the comfort of your own home through internet access via your Android or Apple smartphone, tablet, computer, or camera capable device.
Below are a few tips to make your visit a success:
1. Visits need to be scheduled 2 hours in advance. 2. Please use earbuds or headphones for better sound quality.
3. Walking around or riding in a car during your visit can cause your signal strength to drop.
4. If there is poor video quality, please log out and rejoin the visit.
5. Visitation policies must be followed to ensure privileges are not restricted.
